Closing Ceremony (2019 - ongoing)

Closing Ceremony, an installation-in-progress, presents a positive reflection on the community life of the cemetery and offers new ways in which we may consider memorializing loved ones as physical memorial parks and cemeteries are increasingly less available. 

The installation includes mobiles constructed from basswood, vellum and string as well as projected drawings and animations developed in a ChaShaMa supported space at One Brooklyn Bridge Park in June/ July 2019. This project is on-going and site specific. This is the third collaboration between Leslie Kerby and Lianne Arnold.
