I am pleased to have The Media (collage with litho transfer, etching & gouache, 2012) included in the Art of Democracy exhibition at the Sacred Gallery in Soho, NYC.

Art of Democracy 2012 is the continuation of a series of art exhibits founded by the New York Society of Etchers in 2005 to showcase artworks with political and social messages during the peak of the national election cycles. The first show of the series presented in the Fall of 2006, The Art of Persuasion, quickly morphed into a traveling exhibition which ended its national tour in Chicago in November 2008. There it was joined across the United States by some 60 other inter-related exhibitions under the umbrella Art of Democracy Coalition of Exhibitions. The Art of Democracy 2012 is an historic installment of the ongoing series of shows. This important national survey of politically charged artworks curated by Marshall Arisman will be remembered as one of the most significant such efforts organized during the final days leading up to the presidential election.

Robert Blackburn Printmaking Workshop (RBPMW) is pleased to announce the opening of the 2012 RBPMW Annual Member Show. RBPMW is defined by its diverse community of artists, each with a unique artistic style, background and point in their careers. Our members come together in the workshop to exchange ideas, inspire one another and create prints as unique as themselves.

Fourteen collages from my series Border Lines will be exhibited in St. John's Hall at St. John's University in Queens, NY from September 7-21, 2012. The collages combine litho transfer, etching and gouache and were created at Blackburn printmaking workshop and at a residency at VCCA (Virginia Center for the Creative Arts). The exhibition is part of the St. John's Fine Arts Department visiting artists program.
